Selected as on of the top ten “sauciest” shows to go to as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2017 – Herald Sun 2017
“With nimble dialogue and bursting with jokes and knock out original songs, Amanda Jane Pritchard’s ‘play with music’ mines its humour from our collective deep seeded sense of human frailty, and in this instance matched with compassion and hope” – Cathy Horsely – writer, producer, director.
Swipe Left for Love is a saucy comedy/drama centred around the creative, complex and flawed, Chloe James and the many people who colour her life.
There’s her bulldog boss Angela, best friend Harry, charismatic Kirk Patrick and Dr Wild, her at times judgemental psychiatrist.
Chloe desperately wants to get on track but is tempted by a married man, drugs and her own inner afflictions. Hopefully this time she hits her bottom for the last time.
THE OFFICIAL PREMIERE & FIRST SEASON OF SWIPE LEFT FOR TOOK PLACE AS PART OF THE 2017 MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL AT THE ST KILDA RSL (UPSTAIRS) 88 ACLAND ST, ST KILDA.
Stay tuned for the next instalment of Swipe Left for Love!
“This was such a joy to experience the first showing of Swipe Left for Love and the reactions from my staff and other audience members as we all related to moments in the story was priceless… A first production of great determination, talent and bravery which bought complicated levels of interpersonal relationships, emotions and comedy… I really look forward to seeing the evolution of this play/event“.
